A lonely Friday in S Town

Just maybe 2 weeks ago I started going out on Fridays. I guess it's the time of the week where you just relax and have a little fun, get started on your weekends. It's also the day where I forget about my diet and go have some popcorn while watching a movie.
Well, all that calories has gotta be burned, and I do it with some after-movie shopping.

But til' this Friday, it's still just me and my Jack Wills book bag.

Basically me, V, E and Penny are suppose to go watch Gods of Egypt, but then V got sick, Penny's mom wont let her go after she heard about the dangerous flu which caused 74 deaths up til now, and E wont go cuz of some sudden ballet lessons/ dont wanna go because no one's going. Which ever reason it is, it left me there alone.

Every Friday P's got piano lessons that starts at 1730 and we go have afternoon tea together. This week we were gonna go to Page One Cafe, but they refurnished it and now they only sell weird looking icecream cake. Ew, ICECREAM!!!( That;s my reflex response, I mean who doesn't like icecream? ) Sales going on in Jack Wills and I get cant resist the urge to buy another book bag, but this is a present. Then we went to EXP and ordered fish steak and asparagus fried rice. Since her lesson starts in 30 minutes I cant blame her for a little jumpy. Sorry about it P ( if u are reading this, promise a do over next time ). She left first while I enjoy my iced milk tea and paid the bills.

There are so many movies to watch and so little time. I really want to go to Page One ( the other one ) but  I might arrive home late. I wanted to watch both Gods of Egypt and Brooklyn. And turned out watching 1750 Brooklyn. I was a little late due to my indecisiveness over popcorn. Well, I should have known that they play 10 minutes of Advertisement before the movie, stupid me. I chose the last row, and the Exit sign and the hallway light just ruined the mood. Exit signs are the worst. Went through my popcorn pretty quickly while appreciating the 50's romance and lifestyle.

After the movie I decided to go to the book store even though it is already 2000. I went down the subway to another exit and ran across the tourist-packed street. It's 9 degrees outside and I have no idea why I let my mom convince me to wear my ski jacket which has WAY too many pockets. Running through the quiet bookstore, hearing my footsteps and the heads turning... DONT LOOK AT ME, RUNNING IN A BOOKSTORE IS NOT A CRIME!!! When I arrive the YA section, sweats are soaking my uniform ( yes Im still wearing it, unfortunately ). And there was nothing I wanted. Not even the seventeen magazine. I tried to make myself buy something but I just dont feel like it. All that effort wasted.

The ride back home was peaceful, reading City of Ashes while my left hand and left leg twitched with the feeling that you get after running non-stop. Thank God I could still walk back home.

Going out alone isnt a bad thing, just dont work yourself too hard. Who am I kidding, please go work your ass off, literally, so you could fit into that prom dress and look gorgeous.
